Summer is a time when life and energy is at its peak, manifesting as love, joy and abundance. Chinese medicine teaches us that it is a time to cultivate and nourish the Heart, Mind and Spirit, building healthy relationships with ourselves and others. When in balance we blossom, feel happy, healthy, energised, have purpose and want to engage with our friends, family and the wider community. When out of balance, we can feel depressed, agitated, exhausted, disconnected, lack purpose and suffer from insomnia, palpitations, anxiety, heartburn and indigestion.
In this workshop we will:
Practice yoga, pranayama (breath work) and meditation in alignment with the qualities of Summer and explore the physical acupuncture meridians of the Heart, including learning how to use acupressure on some key points.
Explore some Qi Gong practices that align with the Heart and cultivate joy, happiness, connection & purpose in day-to-day life.
Learn some reflective practices that you can continue throughout the Summer months.
Take away some simple dietary principles help create vibrant health at this time of the year.
Come away feeling happy and vibrantly healthy, with knowledge that you can use over the coming months to continue to thrive.
